The pop-off valve plays a crucial role as a secondary pressure relief valve. This pop-off valve has a stainless steel body and FPM O-rings. It is designed to work together with a primary pressure regulating valve, such as a pressure regulator or unloader valve. The pop-off valve should be set to open at approximately 200 PSI above the primary pressure control valve’s adjusted pressure. In the event of a primary valve failure, this secondary valve will bypass fluid to protect the operator’s safety and the integrity of the high-pressure pumping system.
